Terms of service

Last updated 2026-11-05 · Operated by Kyle Haze, Edmonton, Alberta, Canada · [email protected]

Ticket Jesus is a tool that lets event organizers sell tickets and lets you buy them. The organizer runs the event; Ticket Jesus runs the website. These terms say who is responsible for what.

1. Who is who

Ticket Jesus ("we") is operated by Kyle Haze in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. An organizer is anyone who creates an event here. A buyer is anyone who orders a ticket. For every event, the organizer is the seller of the tickets and the party responsible for the event taking place as described. Ticket Jesus acts as the organizer's agent for listing the event, taking payment and delivering tickets; we are not the promoter, venue or performer.

2. Payments and fees

Card payments are processed by Stripe. Organizers connect their own Stripe account; ticket money is paid into that account and paid out to the organizer's bank on Stripe's schedule. Ticket Jesus charges 0%: no platform fee, no monthly plan. You pay only Stripe's processing fee (2.9% + C$0.30 per order), charged to your own Stripe account. Free events are free. Compare. The fee is shown before an event is published and may change for events created after a change is announced on this page. Organizers are responsible for any taxes that apply to their ticket sales.

3. Refunds and cancellations

Organizers set their own refund terms, within the refund policy. If an organizer cancels an event, every paid order is refunded in full to the buyer's card automatically, and the organizer agrees to that. Organizers can also refund individual orders from their manage page. Refunds include the Ticket Jesus fee; Stripe's processing fee is not returned by Stripe. Chargebacks and disputes on an organizer's sales are the organizer's responsibility and are handled through their Stripe account.

4. Organizer responsibilities

Organizers promise that they have the right to sell tickets to the event, that the listing is accurate, that the event is lawful and that they will answer buyers' questions. Organizers must not list events they do not control, resell tickets, collect personal information beyond what the order gives them, or use buyer emails for marketing without the buyer's separate consent. We may unpublish or remove an event and close an organizer account that breaks these rules, and may hold onboarding, listing or payout steps until Stripe's verification is complete.

5. Buyer responsibilities, purchase limits and transfers

Tickets are delivered as a link with QR codes. Keep the link private: anyone with a ticket's QR code can use it at the door. You may give a ticket to someone else by forwarding the link, at or below the price you paid; tickets may not be resold above face value. Each order is limited to 10 tickets per ticket type. Using software, bots or multiple accounts to get around purchase limits or other access controls is prohibited (and, for events in the United States, unlawful under the BOTS Act); orders made that way may be cancelled and refunded. Entry conditions (age, doors time, bag checks) are set by the organizer and venue.

5a. Taxes

Ticket prices are shown all-in. Any sales, admissions, amusement or similar tax on tickets is the organizer's responsibility to include in the price and remit, unless a law makes Ticket Jesus the collector for a jurisdiction, in which case Ticket Jesus will collect it at checkout and say so. The Ticket Jesus fee, when there is one, may be subject to GST/HST or sales tax, which will be shown to the organizer.

6. What we are not responsible for

We do not guarantee that an event will happen, that it matches its description, or that a venue will admit you; those are the organizer's responsibilities, and your remedies for them are against the organizer, with the refund rights above. To the extent the law allows, our liability for anything arising from the service is limited to the fees we received for the order in question. Nothing here limits rights that consumer law gives you and that cannot be waived.

7. Changes, law and contact

We may update these terms; the date at the top says when. These terms, and the relationship between Ticket Jesus and organizers, are governed by the laws of Alberta and Canada. The sale of a ticket is a contract between the buyer and the organizer and is governed by the law of the place where the organizer is based (its province or state), and nothing here takes away consumer rights that apply there. For events in the United States, total prices are shown first as the FTC's rule on unfair or deceptive fees requires. Questions and complaints: [email protected].
